David Reid
Remembering Dave Reid:
I knew Dave for seven and a half years and I remember from day one he was always smiling.
He was so easy to talk to and he was always very encouraging and supportive.
I worked very closely with him the last couple of years. Dave taught me so much and he had a great eye for detail: he would always find a way to ensure our work was of the highest standard.
We will miss him dearly.
David Reid was an inspiration to all. He had a great sense of humour, and was compassionate and sincere. His leadership qualities were exhibited in the accounting practice, in the business community, and in his volunteer work. He will be missed by all who knew him.
As with everything Dave faced, he fought this battle hard and courageously. He was a very private and personal man, but he was also very accessible. He never turned anyone away if they needed help, and I could always count on a smiley face.
Dave was a man I hold great respect for, and I am thankful that I was able to have him mentor me in my career. He taught me to think for myself and not be scared of speaking my mind.
Dave, thank you for everything you've taught me; I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. I'll miss you.
